Lube 102: The Good Stuff

REAL QUICK! I decided it might be beneficial to have a post on the good lubes only so you can easily spot/click on and purchase a brand without having to look at the ingredients.

Here are the types we have already discussed and have a stamp of approval from me:

  • Organic Olive Oil
  • Organic Coconut Oil
  • Aloe Cadabra

To read more detail on these, click here: Lube 101.

Other safe brands include:

YES Water Based Personal Lubricant

Good Clean Love Almost Naked

Sustain Natural Unscented Organic Lubricant

Emerita Organic Oil-Based Lubricant

Sliquid Organics Natural Lubricant

Some of these lubes contain flax oil and/or caster oil which has been thought to induce labor if pregnant – so CAUTION please if you are expecting (unless you’re 35 days past due and it’s 117 degrees outside, then put it everywhere…jkjkjk)! Otherwise, if not pregnant, those oils are great for enriching the health of your vaginal tissues. Also, remember that any oil-based lubricant isn’t really compliant with latex products, so either choose a different lube or use a latex-free condom.

All of these brands are very transparent with their ingredients and have them listed and explained on their websites. I LOVE THAT. Although I feel confident that these particular lubricants are vagina friendly, please remember to do your own research before you purchase to make sure it is right for YOUR vagina. K?

Shout out if you have comments or questions!!
